JOB DESCRIPTION: The Mechanical Engineer is primarily responsible for the execution of the design and development of pneumatic and/or hydraulic brake components/assemblies, including brake control units, hydraulic units, Air Supply Units, brake discs, calipers, tread brakes, track brakes and controls for passenger rail transit vehicles. The primary objectives of this position are to develop the braking components on-time, per the customer specification, and to release high quality, accurate technical documentation. Mechanical Engineers are responsible for aspects of their assigned products, including design, generation of test procedures, troubleshooting test failures, and manufacturing, quality, and purchasing support.
