Position Summary NORD has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Affairs Assistant to work collaboratively with the Rare Disease Centers of Excellence Team to provide ongoing support to the Rare Disease Center of Excellence Working Groups. Each Working Group is focused on addressing a high-priority unmet need related to rare disease care and will work collaboratively to develop solutions that can be leveraged across the network, and potentially beyond, for the benefit of patients with rare diseases. The Medical Affairs Assistant will also support communications with and meetings of the Advisory Committee which is composed of the Directors and Associate Directors of the Rare Disease Centers of Excellence. The NORD Rare Disease Centers of Excellence Program brings together teams of clinical experts in a nationwide network of cutting-edge facilities, with the goal to provide standards of specialized care and disease management for people living with rare disease and their families and accelerate rare disease research. This position is ideal for a college graduate pursuing professional experience before applying to medical or graduate school, including genetic counseling programs.
