Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for an Senior Operations Accountant located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, Illinois.

Your Role:

As a Senior Operations Accountant, you will be responsible for finance support and business partnership of the manufacturing facilities in the pursuit of continuous improvement. This role serves as a financial resource for the BU Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics, Sourcing, and Demand Planning and identifies trends and communicates results to key stakeholders.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Prepare reports related to FIFO costs, inventory, net realizable value and adhoc reports
• Identify, lead and execute Continuous improvement initiatives to ensure close process efficiency, including potential use of automation, use of system enablers (HFM), etc.
• Partner with plant controllers and BU finance leaders to drive monthly close, as well as analyze monthly costing trends to provide a projected month end result
• Provide support for the monthly and annual standard cost roll up process
• Provide information to internal and external auditor requests
• Participate in or lead cross-functional teams on small to medium special projects

In addition, you will be responsible for reviewing the balance sheet of facilities to ensure accuracy of underlying data and analyze inventory accounts and prepare related reporting for senior management.

We need you to have:

• BA/BS in accounting
• 5+ years financial accounting experience with journal entries
• Experience with large automated financial systems such as SAP or other ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
