The Graduate and Freshmen Admissions Lead Evaluator organizes, plans, and directs the work of the Graduate and Freshmen Admissions Unit under the general direction of the Assistant Director of the unit. This position is responsible for the general operations of the admissions cycle, coordination of staff training, and dissemination of information related to admissions to prospective students, departments and colleges, and to the general public.
Plan, organize, and manage the workflow of the Graduate and Freshmen Admissions Unit. Train staff, oversee workload assignments, and monitor production.
Interpret admission policies, communicate policies and procedures to prospective students and campus departments and colleges, and recommend changes in procedures and practices.
Ensure accuracy of student data, update online admissions information, and maintain the online university application.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to coordinate workflow, carry out assignments without detailed instructions, train staff on relevant policies and procedures, and establish quality control guidelines. Knowledge and experience with online student information systems and Microsoft Excel. Experience in running reports on student data for production management purposes. Demonstrated ability to analyze system programs and propose solutions. Knowledge of admission policies and requirements. Ability to use knowledge to resolve issues and respond to complex requests. Knowledge and experience researching academic information to determine applicable rules and regulations, preferred. Strong ability to work effectively with supervisors, subordinates, peers, faculty, administrators, and staff. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to provide processing and technical assistance to support the administration of general financial aid programs and functions, which includes monitoring and re-evaluating continued student eligibility, making and revising financial aid awards, processing reports, and other activities during various stages of the financial aid cycle.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience
Equivalent to two years of academic records evaluation experience with the full scope of responsibility for making decisions regarding eligibility for admissions required. Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in applicable field preferred.
Max annual salary set as high as $50,000/year based on experience.

Full-time temporary position for 2 years with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
