The DOTI Program Management Division (PMD) is responsible for DOTI’s capital delivery and other city-wide initiatives. This includes supporting DOTI program and project managers delivering hundreds of individual projects. Our division also leads unique, DOTI-wide projects and policy development as needed. Our group’s two core functions are bringing Transparency and Performance & Program Quality and Standards to DOTI business.

PMD is seeking a Staff Assistant to perform operations support work. This is an opportunity to support the team that oversees major program and project delivery, implements enterprise initiatives, oversees project governance, in charge of project delivery tools and reporting, participates in training and mentorship, and maintains inter government relationships. All with an overarching goal of ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of DOTI projects for the City and County of Denver.

As a Staff Assistant, you will be expected to:
  • Provide administrative support to the Director and Managers.
  • Routinely process highly confidential and sensitive personnel records in a professional and confidential manner
  • Assist team members with general administration and documentation distribution.
  • Assist teams as Agency Analyst, Recruiting Coordinator and with new hire on boarding.
  • Develop, test, and implement procedures and best practices to facilitate coordination of operational efforts to maximize communications and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Assist organization s with the coordination and procurement of training, personal protection equipment, technology, travel, and supplies.
  • Navigate Workday to create requisitions, receipt invoices, order supplies, PCARD reconciliation, and related financial reporting.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute monthly reports, forms, informational documents, and spreadsheets.
  • Coordinate, plan, and schedule meetings, events, and activities for staff
  • Coordinate and track Online training compliance for the team
  • Provide occasional assistance to DOTI’s Executive Assistant as needed


While the full pay range of this Job Classification is $23.48-$35.22 per hour, our target hiring salary for this position is between $23.48- $29.35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Experience in a project management setting
  • Workday (system) skills preferred but not required
  • Document control experience is preferred

  • Experience Requirement: Four (4) years of experience performing specialized and/or technical office support work of the type and at the level of Administrative Support Assistant IV.
  • Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of education may be substituted for each required year experience.
  • License/Certifications: None
