Description

Who We Are

IREX is a global development and education organization. We strive for a more just, prosperous, and inclusive world—where individuals reach their full potential, governments serve their people, and communities thrive. With a projected annual portfolio of more than $150 million and more than 750 staff worldwide, we work with partners in more than 100 countries in four areas essential to progress: cultivating leaders, empowering youth, strengthening institutions, and increasing access to quality education and information.

The USAID-funded Early Grade Education Activity is a five-year USAID-funded in Jordan. The activity aims to advance national efforts to strengthen the caliber of pre-and in-service teacher education and improve Kindergarten through Grade Three foundational and socio-emotional skills across the Kingdom of Jordan.

Working remotely from Aqaba with a team based in Amman and occasional trips to the office in Amman, Jordan, and working under the supervision of the Senior PSTE Quality Improvement Manager, the Pre-Service Coordinator will coordinate efforts to utilize international accreditation and incentives to drive performance improvement in Jordanian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The coordinator will assist in fostering strong partnerships with HEIs, overseeing improvements in relevance, quality, and access, and collaborating with policymakers. Additionally, the Coordinator will organize professional development opportunities for educators, administrators, and leaders, ensuring effective coordination and communication among stakeholders to achieve the objectives of quality improvement initiatives.

We are doers. Our decades of on-the-ground experience help us create greater impact, practical recommendations, and lasting partnerships.
