Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, Chief Executive Leadership Programs (SD), the Assistant Director (AD) is a newly established role who will serve as a key partner to the SD in supporting the growth and development of a new portfolio of programs that support the leadership development of current and potential CEOs.


Position Description

  • Manage data collection, organization, and analysis for this population
  • Help optimize Salesforce to use and maintain a database of key contacts and relationships
  • Develop reports to track, understand, and manage:
    • the target population, the current penetration, and opportunities for deeper engagement
    • Individual relationships across Executive Education portfolios and programs— may be expanded to the broader HBS environment, including HBS Online and HBP Corporate Learning.
    • Revenue across Executive Education associated with activities driven by these individual’s relationships — may be expanded to the broader HBS environment, including Online and HBP.
    • Touchpoints, understand how we engage with this population at a program and relationship level and current gaps and opportunities
    • Define and manage processes that ensure correct and timely data gets entered into Salesforce for tracking and reporting
  • Manage and track general marketing and other communication to this segment
  • Role will evolve as Chief Executive Officer Leadership Program (CEOLP) grows; able to pitch in wherever and whenever needed
  • Other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7 years of relevant work experience required, preferably in higher education, project management

  • Has good analytical skills; can draw insights from customer data and use it for making critical decisions
  • Brings a proven data, marketing, and communications lens, including the use of social media and other creative outreach methodologies
  • Has a proven track record of independently managing projects and processes
  • Contributes to process and business improvements by observing and evaluating existing processes, anticipating and supporting client and faculty needs, and continuously seeking to ensure efficiency and excellence
  • Takes pride in managing multiple priorities and creatively solving problems
  • Is excited about working in an entrepreneurial setting in an evolving area
  • Enjoys a “roll up your sleeves” work environment and brings a proactive accountability to the work

Please note: Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for the grade 58 salary band.

Additional Information

This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA-based campus 2-3 days per week. Specific days and schedules will be determined between you and your manager.
