Technician I, Vancouver, Washington

THE JOB

Tidewater Environmental Services, Inc. is hiring a Technician I to support the Pacific Northwest’s industrial and marine communities. This position will perform high pressure water blasting, preventive booming, confined space entry, painting, industrial cleaning inside and outside of tanks on marine vessels and industrial facilities.

• Operates commercial/industrial equipment (i.e. high pressure washer blasting equipment capable of maintaining pressures to 20,000 psi, blowers, etc.).
• Operates non-DOT equipment (i.e. forklift, manlifts, scissor lifts).
• Performs preventive booming on various waterways in the Pacific Northwest.
• Maneuvers hoses, pumps and valves.

THE PAY & BENEFITS

• Starting wage is $21.63 per hour with the ability to earn up to $28.78 per hour plus advancement opportunities.
• Overtime is paid for all weekend work and any work beyond eight hours per day or 40 hours per week.

THE CATCH

• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Work at various heights (up to 60 feet) and in confined spaces.
• Work in various work conditions and temperatures.
• Obtain and maintain a valid TWIC Card in accordance with Department of Homeland security within 15 days of hire date.
