Position Summary: Provide engineering support for on-going and new operations. Maintain and increase production efficiencies as well as troubleshoot problems, identify and implement solution. The Automation Controls Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, troubleshooting, and programming die cast machines, machining, robot applications, conveyor systems, process systems, and other pieces of equipment as required. Duties and Responsibilities:
Education and Experience: · Bachelor's degree from 4 yr. college or university, prefer technical/engineering degree; or 3-5 yrs. experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Controls Engineering experience; advanced PLC programming knowledge Rockwell / Siemens · Experience using CAD electrical diagrams and prints · FANUC robotics programming skills required · Proven project management experience · In depth knowledge of Electrical Standards (NFPA79, National Electric code, UL508A) · In depth knowledge of Safety standards (ANSI/RIA15.06, OSHA) Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: · The position requires the employee to stand; be able to handle and/or feel objects, tools, or controls; and to communicate. · The employee is occasionally required to walk. · The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. · Vision abilities required by this job are the same as required for a driver's license in the state in which the person lives, and will be demonstrated by maintaining that license. · The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. · The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particle and extreme heat. · The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. · Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
