DCI Donor Services Tissue Bank (DCIDS) is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join us to save lives!! Our mission at DCIDS is to save lives through organ donation and we want professionals on our team that will embrace this important work!! DCI Donor Services is seeking a Data Interface Engineer who can help navigate the analytics using business intelligence solutions to achieve organizational goals. A successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a computer science field and proven experience with SQL, ETL, DDL, and other BI technologies.

Key responsibilities this position will perform include:

1. Develops high quality, complex, and timely reports, visualizations, dashboards, and documents to fulfill requests using Transact-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Service Reports (RDL) and Power BI.

2. Designs and maintains complex ETL processes that load multiple data sources and data files via SSIS.

3. Troubleshoots and solves technical and data issues within SQL and ETL processes.

4. Utilizes technology platforms to design and create reporting that is based on needs.

5. Maintains working knowledge of software development life cycle, data warehousing concepts/architecture, OLAP/OLTP databases and code versioning tools.

6. Maintains working knowledge of business processes and key metrics used in organizational operations and assists departments with use of available information to improve performance.

7. Assists with projects that progress through conceptual, logical, and physical modeling designs.

8. Works collaboratively and maintains open communication with colleagues to ensure delivery of timely and accurate information.

9. Utilizes technology platforms to design and create reporting that is based on needs.

10. Educates applicable staff on data collection, reporting options and utilization of reporting mechanisms.

11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • 2+ years experience with SQL and ETL
  • 2+ years experience with BI technologies
  • Ability to work well as a team member with effective communication
  • Excellent customer service
