The starting salary range for this position is $61,900 - $65,500 annualized. Collections Supervisor Role:
To supervise the overall collection processes of the Credit Resolution Department; ensuring team members are following policies and procedures in accordance with all regulatory requirements. Responsible for maintaining a cohesive team that provides an excellent member experience while collecting amounts due to the credit union.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
E 40% Supervises day to day activities of the Collection Team, by providing overall direction to staff, ensuring queues and phone volumes are maintained, daily reports are complete, repossessions and charge offs are completed in a timely manner. E 15% Develops staff by using coaching techniques to maintain a consistent member and business partner experience. Performs monthly one on one sessions with staff to maintain an expected plan for strategic goals and overall department performance. E 10% Reviews charge off and repossession requests and processes the approval in a timely manner. E 10% Oversees the courtesy pay and force placed insurance programs and ensure timely placement of insurance and charge off for negative accounts. E 10% Reviews delinquent accounts and TDR recommendations to ensure appropriate calculations/recommendations are made for the ALLL and TDR committee. E 5% Compiles and analyzes information to prepare required reports for other departments, Allowance committee, TDR committee, and Board of Directors. Responsible for identifying all trends associated with collection and charge off. E 5% Participates on various project teams to assist with efficiency efforts and new products. N 5% Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. Maintain a cohesive, highly trained, motivated staff sufficient to meet daily department demands. 2. Provide professional, timely, and accurate service and support to all members and associates 3. Develop recommendations for cost efficiencies and enhancements to policies, procedures, and processes by monitoring trends in collections. 4. Give and receive feedback from employee quarterly, completing performance reviews within the prescribed timeframe 5. Demonstrate knowledge with credit union policy and all federal and state regulations 6. Regular reliable attendance. 7. Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Pen Air Core Values.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
