Threat Tec is seeking a highly experienced Global Force Management (GFM) Support Specialist to join our team in support of the Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH), Directorate of Operations Program Support (DOPS). The GFM Support Specialist will serve as the primary GFM Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SOCSOUTH, providing critical support in the execution of USSOUTHCOM and USSOCOM GFM processes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SOCSOUTH's primary GFM Subject Matter Expert (SME), responsible for executing the USSOUTHCOM and USSOCOM GFM process.
  • Formulate SOF deployment plans (rotational and emergent), and provide specifications on all issues related to deployment processes, practices, and policy interpretations.
  • Prioritize GFM workload to ensure allocation of forces/capabilities necessary to execute Commander SOCSOUTH missions and align forces against future force requirements.
  • Coordinate and provide recommendations on force allocation of USSOF under appropriate authorities to meet operational and strategic objectives.
  • Develop Force requests, facilitate staffing of force requests, and follow requirements through execution while maintaining staff situational awareness.
  • Support validation and sourcing of USSOF allocation actions, implementation guidance, and contingency sourcing to meet USSOF requirements through the GFM process.
  • Coordinate with USSOUTHCOM, USSOCOM, and Subordinate Elements to identify, develop, and prepare force rotational and emergent requirement actions to execute various missions in the AOR.
  • Develop and maintain GFM guidance and sourcing data critical to enabling force management activities within the USSOUTHCOM AOR.
  • Record historical SOF deployment data and maintain technical proficiency to ensure critical support to the command despite fluctuating workloads.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on Terms of Reference (TOR), including TOR Concurrence (TORCON) processes, Human Rights Vetting (HRV) processes, and bilateral Memorandum of Agreements (MOA).
  • Coordinate and submit the SOCSOUTH Monthly Notifications and Requests to the Joint Chiefs of Staff for acknowledgment.
  • Support coordination, planning, and execution of the SOCSOUTH/USSOUTHCOM annual SOF Deployment Conference.
  • Coordinate events with USSOCOM and SOCSOUTH staff members regarding the Global Special Operations Synchronization (GSOS) process.
  • Provide advice to SOCSOUTH staff relative to Special Operations plans and capabilities as directed by the J3.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years prior military experience.
  • 3 years of GFM experience (or equivalent unit deployment manager experience) with a firm understanding of assignment, allocation, and apportionment processes.
  • Ability to obtain/renew DRRS Certification.
  • Familiarity with current CONOPs, CONPLANS, OPLANs, EXORDs, and statutory authorities relevant to the AOR.
  • Strong understanding of operational procedures and deployment research.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Possess a current Secret security clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance within 120 days of hire.
