ABOUT THE ROLE

OUP is a mission-led organization delivering excellence in education around the globe through publishing. The Sales Assistant – Higher Education role is an administrative position that works to support our Higher Education Sales team by managing two shared inboxes with another Sales Assistant. This role is an opportunity to join our sales team in an entry level capacity where you can learn and grow your sales skills. The role is perfect for someone who is sales minded, understands persuasive conversations, enjoys supporting a team, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is open to an ever-changing and prioritizing day. Travel twice a year is required for this role for sales team meetings. The Sales Assistant – Higher Education role can be hybrid out of our Cary, NC office.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Partner with Customer Service to manage client needs and requests specific to HE US.

  • Daily, manage internal and external customer inboxes and service HE US campuses not assigned to direct representation.

  • Periodically, assist with and manage HE specific projects.

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to problem solve, prioritize, and manage heavy workloads and deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills

  • A professional manner and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

  • Experience in the Higher Education industry desirable

Location: This role is hybrid in Cary, NC

Base Salary: $32,900 - $47,000 dependent on skills and experience

GJC: S2 (for internal purposes only)
