Swanson Rink's Senior Mechanical Engineer's partner with our clients and team members to execute complex projects. This position serves as the technical lead for assigned projects. At Swanson Rink, our Engineers are supported by Project Management and BIM staff allowing them to focus on developing engineering solutions for our clients.

Your Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical lead for the mechanical engineering and design of data centers, airport, aerospace and other industrial/commercial projects.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and design experience in the following: HVAC systems, including selection of HVAC equipment for building applications, central HVAC plant systems, plumbing and sprinkler fire protection systems, and fire suppression systems such as AFFF, dry chemical.
  • Demonstrate expert application of local and national building codes and all applicable safety codes and industry standards and International Building Codes, including building, mechanical, plumbing, fire, and fuel gas codes.
  • Provide mentoring and training to mechanical staff.
  • Proficiently delegate portions of design work to project engineers, designers, and BIM/CAD staff.
  • Provide leadership by functioning as a sought-after technical and project-procedures information resource.


Requirements:


Your Requirements and Qualifications:


  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university.
  • Successful performance at this career level typically requires 10 - 15 years of verifiable professional experience in the areas of relevant work experience.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or Architect.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain professional engineering licensure in multiple states.
  • Extensive experience and proficiency in conducting engineering projects through all phases of development.
  • Must be available to travel occasionally.
  • Requires the ability to pass background checks, security screenings or drug testing as required by our clients and/or Federal contracts.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.


Salary range of $110,000 - $160,000 and will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
