The Alternate Facility Security Officer (FSO) is a Part Time position requiring approximately 20 hours per month. Work schedule will vary based on contract needs. Position will require the selected candidate to work on-site several times a month.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facility Security Officer (FSO) in managing all aspects of facility and personnel security program.
• Assist with administration of Insider Threat Program.
• Initiate, track, and maintain personnel security clearances and accesses through government systems.
• Provide travel safety information and report foreign travel through government systems.
• Conduct security briefings and debriefings for employees as required.
• Maintain accurate records of personnel clearances and access levels.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contract security teams and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with security requirements.
• Stay current on changes to industry security regulations.
• Assist in providing guidance and training to staff on security clearance procedures and best practices.
• Manage security related correspondence with employees.
• Track and maintain employee initial and annual security training records.

This position can be filled at Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education and experience accepted.
• Minimum of 2 years working in industrial security
• Familiarity with government regulations related to facility and personnel security clearances (e.g., NISPOM).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must currently hold and be able to maintain TS Security clearance.

Must have experience with the following systems:

• Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
• National Industrial Security System (NISS)
• Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT)
• National Background Investigation Services (NBIS)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive)
