The Gogo Business Aviation Billing Operations Analyst is an exciting opportunity to be an impact player on the Finance team! You could be a Bold Problem Solver and subject matter expert within Gogo’s billing system, as well as empowered to generate thousands of monthly invoices for Gogo customers.

This position will have the chance to design, test, and implement key billing processes and integrated systems utilized by customers and internal teams. The role will also play a vital part in Gogo’s launches of new products and features—capturing stakeholder and customer requirements, executing test cases, and even building new service plans and workflows!

The Billing Operations Analyst is a reporting rock star, creating billing reports and providing expertise in billing data definition and database structure. This individual will also have the opportunity to represent Finance in cross-functional meetings.

How will you make a difference?

  • Serve as primary contact for production issues occurring in billing system, and troubleshoot or escalate issues as necessary

  • Participate in production support meetings to triage issues related to billing system

  • Execute monthly production billing steps, including capture and retention of screenshots & reports for SOX compliance

  • Perform monthly pre-billing data validations and collaborate across functions to review & resolve exceptions as they arise

  • Manually administer certain non-standard billing items, such as key account promotion/credit incentives and IFE content stick subscriptions

  • Maintain existing and set up new service offerings in the product catalog of the billing system

  • Implement approved prebilling adjustment requests in the billing system

  • Create & update development tickets in collaboration with Cross Functional teams and vendors

  • Support SOX compliance activities by obtaining completed, getting approval on, archiving, and working with CRM team to implement billing system access request forms

  • Fulfill ad hoc requests for new billing system SQL reports, as well as requests to modify existing SQL reports

  • Participate in recurring and ad hoc meetings with internal stakeholders and system vendors to facilitate development on current projects and upcoming billing system upgrade effort

  • Participate in product realization testing (PRT) to identify and test billing-impacting features being implemented in other integrated business systems

  • Analyze and present Service Credit and Prebilling Adjustment data to internal stakeholders

  • Facilitate batch pricing changes on large fleet accounts

  • Test key billing process and system changes

  • Create and run through test cases in support of the development of new products and services

  • Assist with training other departments on system functionality and new reports

  • Participate in quarterly development planning sessions with Billing Systems team and vendors

  • Ability to make recommendations for improvement on existing processes and systems

  • Assist with special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience – Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or similar

  • 2 years’ experience working in billing system(s)

  • 2 years’ experience in writing SQL database queries

Required skills, experience and talents

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

  • Beginner to intermediate knowledge of SQL language and SQL RDBMS(s)

  • Excellence in Data Analysis and Ad Hoc Reporting

  • Proficiency with other MS Office products such Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Familiarity with Billing processes

  • Experience with common billing system functions, such as: workflow development, payment processing, collections, product catalog configuration, billing runs, invoice generation, tax setup, and reporting

  • Proven ability to deliver results in an independent, self-guided work environment

  • Proactive, self-directed, and ability to work well under pressure

  • Solid work ethic and attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability

  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills

  • Flexible and adaptable to changes in priorities and assigned tasks

  • Familiarity with Accounting and Collections processes

  • Familiarity with cloud computing software such as AWS

  • Experience with development/ticketing related software such as: JIRA, Miro, and VersionOne

  • Experience in applying process improvement methodologies

  • Experience with collections software

  • Experience with usage processing software

  • Experience with payment gateways such as Authorize.net

Base Pay:

68,800.00 - 86,000.00 USD Annual

Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:

Bonus Plan at 5% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
