Summary:

Key responsibilities of a Continuous Improvement Engineer include improving KPI metrics by conducting process reviews, performing root cause analysis, developing improvement plans, implementing lean manufacturing principles, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, leading cross-functional teams, monitoring progress, and delivering measurable results.

A Continuous Improvement Engineer analyzes the company's processes and makes suggestions on how to improve them, works with the Operations and Supply Chain teams to recognize opportunities, implement changes, and oversee implementation.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant field.

· Manufacturing Engineering experience.

· Six Sigma experience, Black Belt certification preferred.

· Deep understanding and implementation of lean manufacturing principles.

· Strong interpersonal, analytical, and hands-on problem-solving skills.

· Ability to successfully collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Passion and enthusiasm for driving improvement and leading change.

· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

· Proficiency with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment (EPICOR knowledge a plus).

· Ability to identify long-term goals, communicate them to others, motivate, and organize efforts resulting in improvement.

· Develop, implement, prioritize, and execute high level strategies.

· Effective coach and mentor, lead teams and hold accountable to achieve business plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC problem-solving initiatives.

· Facilitate lean tools (including 5S, line balancing, material flow, value stream mapping, and Kaizen events) into the company's daily functions.

· Educate, coach, and train personnel on lean principles.

· Promote organizational learning to improve processes and productivity.

· Identify, plan, and budget departmental goals that develop standardization, implements initiatives to improve quality, delivery performance, and reduces cost.

· Analyze production data and determine options for improvement tactics.

· Train employees on new manufacturing practices.

· Analyze output with new practices and provides closed loop feedback for continual improvement.

· Promote efficiency and safety in the plant.

· Support long term operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new technology and capabilities.

· Organize and structure teams for optimal, efficient operations.

· Deliver progress and production reports to executive team members.

· Be proactive and self-motivated to identify opportunities for improvements.

· Implement, lead, and support a lean manufacturing culture.

· Work cross functionally and develop healthy professional relationships throughout the business.
